RE Ace (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is published by Eks. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and your choices. Contact: Ekspeace@gmail.com.

Summary

RE Ace does not ask you to create an account, and it does not send your study data anywhere. Everything you do in the app — your answers, scores, streak and results — is stored on your device only.

The app uses one third-party service: Google AdMob, which shows the adverts that pay for the app being free. AdMob is the only reason the app needs an internet connection.

What we collect and why

1. Study data (stored on your device)

The exam you selected (RE5 or RE1), your answers, per-question and per-task statistics, your study streak, your saved reference entries, your mock exam results and any exam date you set are stored locally on your device using your device's standard app storage. This information is never transmitted to us and we cannot see it.

Because it is local, it is not backed up by us and does not follow you to a new phone. Uninstalling the app deletes it permanently.

We do not ask for your name, email address, ID number, employer, FSP number or any other identifying detail, and there is nowhere in the app to enter them. Please do not try to.

2. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows a banner advert on some screens, and requires you to watch rewarded video adverts to unlock a full timed mock examination. These are served by Google AdMob.

To serve adverts, Google may collect and process device information and identifiers (for example your device's advertising ID, IP address, and general device and app information). We do not receive that data ourselves; it is processed by Google as described in Google's privacy policy and by Google's advertising partners.

Consent. Where required (for example in the EEA and the UK), we present a Google-certified consent message (Google UMP) before any advert is requested. You can change your choice at any time through “Ad choices” in the app footer. Where consent is not granted, adverts are limited or not shown.

You can also limit ad personalisation at device level: on Android under Settings → Privacy → Ads, and on iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

3. Internet connection

The app requests internet access for one purpose: loading adverts. Studying, flashcards, drills, the quick reference and your results all work offline. A mock examination needs a connection because it is unlocked by watching videos.

What we do not do

Purchases

RE Ace currently offers no purchases of any kind — every feature is free and funded by advertising. If a paid, advert-free option is introduced in a future version, payment would be handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we would never see or store your card details. This policy will be updated before any such option goes live.

Children

RE Ace prepares candidates for the FSCA regulatory examinations, which are written by working financial services professionals. It is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13.

Data retention

Your study data stays on your device until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Advert-related data is retained by Google according to Google's own policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under POPIA in South Africa, or the GDPR in the EEA and UK — you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information held about you, and to withdraw consent to personalised advertising.

Because we hold no personal information about you, an access or deletion request to us has nothing to act on; you can delete everything yourself by uninstalling the app. For advertising data, exercise your rights with Google, and withdraw consent through “Ad choices” in the app. If you would like help with any of this, write to Ekspeace@gmail.com.

About the study content

RE Ace is independent study material. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or accredited by the FSCA, Moonstone, or any examination body, and its content is a study aid rather than legal or compliance advice. See the Terms of Use for the full position.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change, and material changes will be reflected in the app before they take effect.
